Lights, Camera, Action!
In this workshop participants will gain practical experience in on-camera acting.  Understand how to act for different types of camera shots and camera set-ups, build an awareness of camera framing and movement within the shot, and learn about the importance of continuity. Student work will be filmed and the video played back for further analysis. Participants with all level of experience are welcome!

KnightRichard_bw.jpgRichard Knight is the Head of Movement and On-Camera Acting at VETA, Vienna’s English Theatre Academy. He originally trained as a Drama Specialist (B.Ed), then as an actor at LAMDA.
He continued his training and worked with Jacques Lecoq, Philippe Gaulier and Antonio Fava. He teaches, directs and performs all over the world with his theatre company, Mime the Gap. His book, Mime the Gap – Techniques in Mime and Movement, was published in 2018 by Crowood Press. Richard also works as a movement specialist on film productions such as “The Avengers: The Age of Ultron”, Tim Burton’s “Sweeney Todd” and the feature film “Suffragette”.
