“Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, and then finding myself there.” ~ Meryl Streep

THE ACTOR'S JOURNEY: CREATING CHARACTER

This 10 week programme will focus on creating a character from scratch, and exploring different aspects of character work: how does my character move, talk, interact with people, drink a cup of tea, or wait for a bus...? Through character based-improvisation and physical, and vocal exercises, our aim will be to create devised scenes based on the characters we have found together in class.  This course is geared towards first time students as well as returning adult course participants.
Trained at the East 15 Acting School in England with a Masters in Theatre Pedagogy, Susanne has over 13 years of experience as a professional artist; including a main role in the TV series “The Quest”, made for ABC by the creators of “Lord of the Rings”.
